Welcome to the Lea County Heroes Program

Honoring the brave men and women of Lea County who have served in the United States Armed Forces. 

Our mission is to ensure their sacrifice, service, and stories are never forgotten.

Each year, banners honoring local veterans will proudly line Main Street and surrounding areas. These banners are displayed from Veterans Day through Memorial Day, then rotated annually to honor a new group of heroes.

But this program is more than banners. We also:

  • Host the Veterans Day Parade and Memorial Ceremony
  • Partner with local organizations to support veterans, seniors, and families in need
  • Create opportunities for fellowship, storytelling, and preserving the legacy of those who served
